Bath potion makers.

Bath potion makers

To all the children sitting in baths
Trying to conjure up potions
Don’t give up
Just believe
Ive cracked it
The world is in motion
I didn’t know as boy
Invisibility wasn’t the one
try after try
i always had fun
until the day hooray hooray
eureka
in the bath
what a lark
ive done it
im bottling potions
i write on their side
a big curly nine
oh they taste so so fine
like sweet perfume of goodbye
kisses between lovers
from stations
tears of sadness and joy
from every girl and boy
glug glug glug
whizz pop fizzle sock
groovy tingly butterfly
sensations
what a week
now a treat
how i do declare
more ingredients
colours of the clothes you wear
the flowers you put in your hair
strangers chatting on the train
and flakes scrapped from the statue
at kings cross station
where we’ve once sat and had a chat
every colour creed and nation
so Saturday heres what i say
im the grandson of the last earl of annesley
isn’t it funny i love how he had no money
because of that so much more honey
and was happy as larry
making things grow in his garden
what im trying to say im as irish
as a four leaf clover
and
im off to Lisdoonvarna
at the end of the year
but before that its Saturday
the day of the party
yippee calloo callay
all of us back together again
we don’t need horses
or silly kings men
humpty dumptry probably got
run over by the cold stream guard
who were travling so fast and as such speed
as they raced through the lands and onto the
wall that they didn’t really look and sea
that it was they who broke her and made him fall
Saturday three cheers
yippee calloo callay
sounds of a real fine irish party a good bit of craic! Irishmen & women – chirping shrieking and a whistling yah hoo!
Im going to be giving out bottles of my potion
At the party
Don’t you get hearty
No boring old farts will be there
Its a punky reggae party
It may not be uptown Jamaica but i promise you a treat
you might even meet Bob Marley
and his peace full loving army
now that ive stopped running
ive got to Orange Street
were going to have a real aul time!
A rare old time!
Just like everyone we meet...

  1. This ones for all of you
but a special thank you to my friend Jim
who i would like Barry stay up late chatting too

we discussed discworld, caring for sticks, and a seed was sown for the idea that was this, did you used to try and make magic potions in the bath? Of course Roahld Dahl BFG super star
Jim your wicked, good times wherever you are
ive done it mate, have yourself some potion,

Thanks to Barry for all these type of chats too, standing on the side of the road till three - you know what i mean, walking round and round chatting in the car park by pets at home in the dark, and funny, even once after a night out, getting told off in the morning by your dad,
"will you too stop talking shit" when we were talking about poo. Thanks for all the fry ups too : )
