when we were little we used to gamble our treasure at the drip drop races
windows
watching
rainy
faces
I put all my treasure on splosh splosh splash splash making one of those last minute one side of the window to the other full on
mental kinds of dash!

Splosh splosh splash splash never made it, ended up getting swallowed by splish and splash, who eating up all the other rain drops turned into splish-splosh-splash-splosh-splish-splash proper dropped fast zig zig zags down the window racing quicker than greased lightning
i lost all my treasure that day
when the wind changed
windows
watch
out
for
tiny
faces
in
the
rain
making sure they stay the same
don't complain
